2024 Annual Award Nominations

WLA is taking nominations for our two annual awards:

• Outstanding Member of the Year Award
  Each year the Women Lawyers Association honors one of its members who has
  personally strived to promote the goals and initiatives of the WLA, which are to
  “provide a forum for women attorneys, to promote the legal profession in Jefferson
  County, and to offer information about the profession and public services to the
  community at large.” Our award recipient has demonstrated a passion not only for
  the legal profession and public service; but has also sought to promote and expand
  the WLA’s presence and involvement in our community. Nominated by his/her
  peers, the award recipient has exhibited the utmost integrity and pride in the legal
  profession, which has benefited not only the WLA, but our community as a whole.

 

• Achievement in Excellence Award
  
  The Achievement in Excellence Award is an award developed by the WLA to honor
  an extraordinary attorney in our community who, over the years, has made significant
  contributions to the legal profession. Whether it be through involvement and dedication
  to the WLA and/or the LBA, or simply promoting integrity and professionalism in the
  legal profession by way of example in his/her daily life, the award recipient is a role-
  model, not only for those who are new to the practice of law, but for all of us who practice
  law in this community every day.
